Jon Hopkins

Jon Hopkins is a British musician who writes and performs his own melodic electronica and dance music. He was born and brought up in London and started playing the piano when he was five. By the age of twelve he was studying piano at London's Royal College of Music. He has worked with Brian Eno, Imogen Heap, King Creosote, David Holmes, Tunng, Four Tet, James Yorkston, Massive Attack and Coldplay.
His debut album Opalescent was released in 2001, with a follow up record, Contact Note appearing in 2004. Both were released through Just Music.
Hopkins's much-acclaimed third album, Insides, was released by Domino Records on May 5, 2009.
